OUR FIRST SOUL SISTER'S WEDDING

Last night we had an incredibly beautiful, romantic and fun wedding reception for a beautiful bride, Ashley.
I made the wedding cake - vanilla with raspberry filling, white polka dots, gold chevron and fresh flowers.
Larry came to my rescue with cutting the chevron out - luckily he has a math brain and figured out the dimensions we needed.  He also drove me and the cake for delivery - I think I held my breath the entire time.
Here is the cake set up with all the flowers applied and the cutest 'love is sweet' sign.  The details of this reception were amazing. It was seriously breathtaking.
The dance floor provided lots of boogie-woogie fun and the sweeping white fabric and lights were magical.
There was a lemonade stand with the cutest mason jars, cutout lids and paper straws.  The lemonade stand served strawberry, watermelon and blueberry lemonade.
The Sweet Shoppe had sweet treats galore.  It was any sugaraholic's sweet dream.
The gorgeous couple greeted a gazillion guests, got lots of hugs and well wishes.
The cute little lad on the bench is Landon - bored out of his gourd.   Romance, shmromance.
We watched the couple's first dance.  My favorite part was watching my beautiful friend, beaming with pride, watch her daughter dance with her groom.  I have to admit, I watched with tears streaming down my face.
And then the daddy-daughter dance.  I'm so happy for this amazing family.
It was the happiest night.

BEACHY WONDERLAND

Saturday night my sister-in-law's mom, Ardith, turned a church gym into a beachy wonderland for a wedding reception.  It was gorgeous!
My sister-in-law, Erica, sister of the bride, made the beautiful wedding cake - photo 3b.

Ardith made all the incredible cookies.  I was so impressed with all the detail.  No doubt, she was baking for weeks.

My other sister-in-law, Sarah, and I made the cupcakes.
-Chocolate peanut butter with a chocolate ganache center and peanut butter icing
-Lemon with a lemon curd center and swiss meringue
-Red velvet with a chocolate ganache center and mascapone icing

My favorite cupcake on the table was the lemon.  They looked like dollops of sea foam.

Absolutely gorgeous reception.  It's all in the details.  We're so happy for Jackie and John!

ST. PATRICK'S DAY WEDDING

My beautiful cousin, Kristina, is getting married today to her love, Randy. Can you imagine anything more fun on St. Patrick's Day than going to a wedding? Unfortunately, we can't make it to Utah this weekend to share in their joy, but we're sending lots of love, hugs and kisses from Oregon to the lovebirds.

Speaking of love, I'm in love with their groomal photos by Lindsey Shaun Photography.

My cousin, Wil, and his gorgeous bride, Phylicia, got married Saturday in Yakima.
It was a fun celebration filled with family, friends, love, music, food, bubbles and the over-bite shuffle.

A WEDDING IN THE RAIN

Glowing faces, black umbrellas, pouring rain, red & white polka dot wellies, laughter, smiles, tears of joy, sacredness, happiness, a beautiful bride and a handsome groom.
We have had the honor to be apart of an amazing weekend.
I made the wedding cake. Red velvet, butter cream frosting and white fondant.

The reception was a blast. Everyone left with a full belly after partaking in the sandwich bar, Italian soda bar and red velvet cupcake buffet.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs. Bean! We love you!!

PS - I may have added a little excitement to the reception when I accidentally tucked my skirt into my nylons while in the powder room and rejoined the festivities.
