THERE WAS A LONGBOARD RACE ON SUNDAY
as part of the weekend festivities at the Hop and Heritage Festival in Independence. It was so fun!
The race started downtown and ended at the award winning Rogue Farms, where there was an awards ceremony for the riders and Rogue provided their amazingly delicious rootbeer for the volunteers and riders.
PS - Do you roll with Larry?

My man clan ride almost everyday, but since it was officially GO SKATEBOARDING DAY, Larry got off work early and we met a bunch of riders at the park for a few hours of fun.

A BOY AND HIS ONE OF A KIND SCOOTER
Lach isn't confident standing on his longboard yet, but is a machine on a scooter, so Larry modified his longboard into a scooter and we have one happy, happy camper.
He has stars in his eyes for his daddy.
PS - He also has no fear, which is unfortunate for my heart and the pit of my stomach.

IMAGINE DRAGONS AND LONGBOARDLARRY
Larry made a custom 56" Cruiser for Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons. You know us well, if you know Imagine Dragons is one of our FAVORITE bands. We were beyond excited to make this longboard!
We had tickets to see them in concert Friday night, as part of a Portland weekend for Larry's birthday, so this beauty was packaged up and we took it with us Friday morning.
There was a special private acoustic performance at Kink FM in the afternoon, in the Bing Lounge, that we were invited to, to do the hand off. To be honest, we were giddy!
Of course, they were amazing and it was super fun to watch. After the meet and greet, we unveiled the custom longboard.
They are really nice, super friendly and down to earth. Larry and I smiled the rest of the afternoon and were even MORE excited to see them in concert that night. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of summer we're still smiling.
PS - We had another "highlight" at this performance. Kink FM gave everyone at the performance tickets to see Imagine Dragons, on May 27th, at the Rose Festival RoZone Concert at Waterfront Park.
Local friends, you must, and I mean MUST, get tickets to see them on the 27th. If you don't, you're insane in the membrane.

DETENTION OF THE DEAD
Look at the left hand side of the photo and what do you see? A LongBoardLarry board IN A MOVIE!Do you remember when I posted about Zombies and LongBoardLarry having something in common? This is it!!
Detention of the Dead is when "Comedy and Horror unite in this “The Breakfast Club” meets “Shaun of the Dead” tale about a group of oddball high school students who find themselves trapped in detention during a Zombie Apocalypse."
Ash (Justin Chon who plays Eric in the Twlight movies) will be riding our board. If you click "LINKS" on the Detention of the Dead webpage, Ash rides across the screen.
We will keep you posted as we learn new information and the movie release date. Needless to say, WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!
