We have the table base a flat black and the top was stained black and has a high gloss finish. It looks great!
We got the table and chairs last weekend at a garage sale and it has a few quirky flaws which make me like it even more....
Our kitchen is painted Behr -Corn Husk Green and the living room is Behr -Granite Boulder. The dining kitchen shares both walls and of course the photos don't do the colors justice... 
Half of our house has matching switches, outlets and covers. Yay!!
It's those little things that make me sooooo happy....

Love what you guys have done so far. Our table is similar to the one you have and we love it (although we got ours on craigslist). Can't wait to see more projects.
