what that means at our lair? It's the beginning of our countdown to Valentines Day with the 14 Days of Love.
We're starting the countdown off with these delicious morsels.
When Larry and I were in college, we took an algebra class together. Our teacher, Phyllis Leonard, gave us one of her family cookbooks as a wedding gift. That cookbook contains my all time favorite sugar cookie recipe.
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Chill at least 1 hour.
Roll out 1/4 of the dough at a time, 1/8" thick on a floured board. Cut into desired shapes. Bake at 400 for 6-8 minutes, until set but not brown.
Frost and decorate.
