When I was at the Desert Museum, I saw a photo of the Roosevelt Dam and knew I had to go see it for myself. It was worth the drive; it is so beautiful! There is no tour, it's just gorgeousness for your eyes. The water wasn't running through the dam, but that didn't take away from the excursion at all.
On the way home, we stopped in at Tonto National Park to see the cliff dwellings but they were closing in a half hour. I used my telephoto lens to get a glimpse and was even more bummed we weren't able to hike up there. Isn't it amazing?!

This was a great day trip. Next time we will climb the hill and be there before closing.
Okay I have been here... =)...but you still make it look so much better!
