A FACTORY TOUR AT THEO CHOCOLATE

was on our Seattle weekend agenda and it was a delicious excursion.
Theo Chocolate shows you the process from bean to bar.  They are organic and fair trade certified, most of their dark chocolate is vegan and besides the tour being delicious, it was fascinating and informative.

If you are in the Seattle area and haven't gone on the tour, put it on your to-do list.  You'll be glad you did!

IMAGINE DRAGONS CONCERT IN SEATTLE

When Larry and I went to the Imagine Dragons concert in Portland, we had some really bummed teenagers.  So when they added an all-ages concert in the Seattle area to their schedule, I got us tickets.
Want happy teenagers?  Get them Imagine Dragons tickets!

The boys were REALLY hoping they could meet the band, but towards the end of the performance, they announced they were heading out immediately to catch a red eye flight.  Oh, our boys were so sad.
Thankfully, Ryan, I.D.'s tour manager, found us so the boys could quickly meet the band.  Besides being amazingly talented, these guys are the nicest guys ever!  Needless to say, we had beyond ecstatic teenagers!
Larry, with Ryan and his LongBoardLarry board he has named "citrus" and Dan, Image Dragons lead singer
Our happy teenagers with their perm-a-grins and Uncle Steve.  It was a really fun night!

THEY THINK WE NEED ONE

but they're just going to have to settle for the jump board of doom, slip and slide and visiting Steve more often.

WE DID NOT DO THIS

I have no desire whatsoever to learn the technique of making paper out of elephant poo.

WOODLAND PARK ZOO

Steve took us to the zoo and we discovered a few facts that you might want to know, courtesy of the wee-est.
At one of the exhibits, there was a zoologist asking children questions. Lach was more than happy to yell out his answers.

What do jaguars eat? HUMANS!

(Holding up a cast of a gorilla footprint) What made this footprint? BIGFOOT!

I think I have a crush on flamingos.

SEATTLE

The wee ones and I had a Seattle weekend getaway, visiting my brother, a.k.a.:Uncle Stevie-Poo and/or The Steve.
One of the places we visited was the beautiful Discovery Park on Magnolia Bluff.
I love how my wee ones pick me flowers. If you have a garden of blooming beauties, they will clean you out for a bouquet for their mama.Hiking trails, an Indian Cultural Center, play structure, a large open field perfect for a family picnic and a romantic lily pond are the things we found on our visit.
Next time we go there, we will go to the lighthouse and it's beach.

SEATTLE THIS WEEKEND WAS SO

much fun! We were on the go the entire time and had a blast... Friday we went to Alki Beach and longboarded...

played in the sand, enjoyed the gorgeous view and Landon made us pinecone juice with straws...
Saturday we saw a really cool troll....
Then played at Gas Works Park...
Hung around and ran...
and rolled ...
and rolled....
We worked up an appetite and had a great lunch...

And went to Pikes Market...

Madison wanted to practiced her kissing while we were watching the fish throwing.
After a lot of walking it was back to the hotel for pool fun....

Livi and Maddi did make-overs and there is evidence of an Uncle Steve make over that I will try my best to get a hold of...
On Sunday we spent the day at the Flight Museum...
It was great to see Steve and we had a blast. Can't wait for him to come visit for Christmas!
