We have German, French, English, Danish, Irish and Swiss ancestors, so we have decided to pass down the tradition of celebrating St. Nicholas Day.The boys leave their shoes by the fireplace on the evening of the 5th, and when they wake up, they are filled with simple edible gifts, like oranges, nuts and chocolates.
