CANDY DISH
My Aunt Rett was hilarious, innocent, childlike, up for anything, petite, loved to feed you and this little gal only had a 3rd grade education. I absolutely adored her!
As adorable as she was, she had a little mustache. There weren't a lot of hairs but the ones she had were coarse. It wouldn't be so bad if she kept them to herself, but she liked to kiss you on the lips! Every time she gave you a peck on the lips, you'd get poked.
This candy dish belonged to my Aunt Rett and it had belonged to her grandmother, my 2nd great-grandmother, Harriet Maria Vincent Smith.

TODAY WAS
International Waffle Day and we celebrated eating a blueberry waffle dinner topped with strawberries and pure maple syrup. It was berry delicious.
We saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid:Rodrick Rules this afternoon too and we thought it was super funny. We give it a man clan approved 2 thumbs up.

ORCHIDS
Two weeks ago, my Soul Sisters dropped by the house to cheer me up. Besides their smiling faces and hugs, they had a beautiful potted orchid, numerous flavors of vegan ice cream, traditional Chex Mix, pistachios, Diet Coke and Twizzlers. Do they know me well or what?
This orchid is on my dining room table and every time I walk into the kitchen, I can't help but smile.

THE DAY WE LEFT UTAH
it was absolutely gorgeous, which was a welcomed sight because it was dumping thick snow the night before.
We had a few hours to spare before our plane left, so we drove down to Provo.

We met my aunt and uncle for lunch and my father couldn't stop himself, much to our delight, from making a snow angel outside the restaurant.
