ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES

is at the beach for 4th of July weekend. This year we watched fireworks at Boiler Bay and, luckily for us, some whales showed up for the show too. Family, snacks, blankets (lots of them - it was super windy), bubbles, energetic boys, light sabers, laughter, whales and fireworks = an awesome Independence Day celebration.
Where did you celebrate?

We celebrated right here in good ol' Salem with a BBQ and our own fireworks show. Glad you had fun and such good weather! Love the bubble pic!

LOVE the fireworks pictures! Did any of the whales breach for you?

I wasn't feeling very good (and was a wee bit concerned how Pixie would handle the fireworks) so I stayed home and watched a documentary on the revolution, Castle, and Leverage :-)

Not one! It was the same as when we went on the whale cruise. Backs and spouting. Cool, but oh how they tease me!! I.want.to.see.a.breach!!

That's it! We're going to the San Juan Islands chica! They have breaches up there all the time. Of course there won't be a breach when we go.... (knowing our luck LOL)
