ALWAYS LOOKING FOR BUDGET FRIENDLY

recipes and ideas, my go-to treat is rice krispie treats.
You can make them fun, you can make them simple or you can make them beautiful, but no matter how you make them, they are easy to mass produce and they are always delicious.... Seriously, who doesn't like rice krispie treats?

WE CELEBRATED THE ONE

year anniversary of our kidney transplant tonight with an incredible dinner and a lot of laughter.... Dennis is doing fantastic, and if you're wondering, his eyes are still green.
Here's to many more years...

I AM A HERO TO MY BOYS BECAUSE

I made Katie's super easy, super delicious cinnamon rolls for an after school snack...

I don't know how many calories are in them and trust me, while you're eating them you won't care....

For the glaze I used:

1 stick butter, softened

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

dash of salt

Put on the rolls while hot.

PUMPKIN CARVING FUN WAS HAD

by all in this household tonight....

I can't believe Halloween is only 4 days away....

CRICKETS AND MEALWORMS ARE

disgusting, even when covered with chocolate.
Extreme Sweets had an episode showing chocolate covered mealworms and crickets, and so of course my husband and boys needed to try it out...

The creepy crawlies were a hit for most of them.

Personally, I think it's just plain nasty...

I WAS GIDDY THIS MORNING

as I headed up to Portland. Why?
Because Andy Kane has moved from San Francisco to Oregon and I was enrolled in his screen printing class...

I was able to make this tote!

It was taught as a true DIY class with tons of tips for success. I give the class an enthusiastic two thumbs up!

It was very inspiring and I totally recommend the class to anyone who has an interest in screen printing.
I can't wait to purchase supplies and to start experimenting!
