APPLE PIE 101

My man clan had an apple pie class yesterday, in honor of President's Day, and it was delicious. However, there was one problem. I forgot to have them put a couple of tablespoons of flour in the apple mixture to thicken. When we cut into the pie, it looked like apple soup.
We need to have the 101 class again, this time making sure we follow directions!

Looks beautiful and I'm sure it tasted wonderful, too! A little less flour... I think that makes it more healthy :)

Paul's mom puts red hots in the apple pie. I've always wanted to try that, but I haven't made an apple pie in a very long time.

Thank you Ali! :-)

Red hots, huh? I'll have to try that too. How many did she put in? Just a few or a handful?

As long as you didn't forget the sugar....that could have been a puckering experience, can we say TART??

You picture looks like it was perfect! I agree with Nancy..as long as you have the sugar in it! We went to a friends house for homemade ice cream...and we all waited and waited...and waited...when it was finally done...we all took the BIGGEST bite EVER...but it did not have any sugar in it! YUCK!
