It's a tough movie to watch. I know exactly why you didn't like it, Laura. Abusive husband - wife that allows it - sad sad delusional sister in law. If you look at it from a classic movie standpoint; admire the acting, directing and cinematography - it's a FANTASTIC film. But, it is a dreadfully sad and depressing story.
