MY AWESOME COUSIN SHERRI

is putting together a 6 week fitness challenge starting Monday the 15th.
Want to do it with us?....

It will be an 'on your honor' point system that is reported on Mondays.
Total of 5 possible points a day, one point each for:
No sugar
3 servings of raw fruit or vegetables
30 minutes of continual exercise
No eating after 7pm
Drinking 8 - 8oz glasses of water

OH HOW FUN IT IS FOR ME TO CATCH UP ON YOUR BLOG. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY MY NETWORK IS SO PERSNICKITY ABOUT LETTING ME ONTO YOUR BLOG...MAYBE IT JUST DOESN'T WANT ME TO GET TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING. GREAT PICS, FUN IDEAS, AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH US NEXT WEEK AS WE GET INTO SHAPE.

Love your blog and it's an enjoyable part of my morning each and every day. The point system seems sad to me. There are no "tricks" to eating or being healthy. Sugar only has 15 calories per teaspoon, eating after 7 won't make you heavy or unhealthy, it has more to do with what you ate for the whole day. Drinking water doesn't have a magic number but of course is great for you, exercise-always a plus-and for me it will be shoveling our snowy driveway in Michigan.

I think a positive attitude, eating what you want in moderation and doing something that gets you moving is a much better plan. No points, no counting, no guilt, no rules.

As for the point system. We know there are no magic numbers. And you are correct in all aspects of your comment. These steps are just some baby steps to get moving in the right direction - I know I for sure don't drink enough water every day. And as for keeping track, it's for pure fun and motivation for the 6 weeks. :-)

Sounds like fun but I hesitate because I hate to loose but I also hate to give up my sweets and other lazy habits :) What to do? What to do? I guess it won't do any harm even if some days I earn zero points.
