AFTER WE HAD OPENED ALL OUR GIFTS AND
the weeest of the wee ones had had his nap, we headed to the Peterson's to continue our celebration over a scrumptious Christmas dinner....
And there was one thing Brad and I had in common....

I remember choking down beets with my nose plugged as a kid....how'd you like them?
They were ok. Had the texture of a cooked carrot. I think I would have liked them more if they had spices or something with them. A friend of mine likes them cooked up with olive oil and salt & pepper. I'll have to try that.
I've never had beets...they just don't look appealing.
I've heard that about the olive oil and salt and pepper and supposedly they're really good that way. They look pretty though!
